Wishing everyone a nice Easter weekend. Our Centre is closed on Easter Monday but everything as usual from Tuesday.
We had a lovely concert by the Griffon Choir at St. John’s Church, Tenby, last night. Their selection of choral Easter music was complimented beautifully by Mia Childs on the Cello. Our thanks to St. John’s Church, the Griffon Choir, Mia and our volunteers who helped on the night. We raised a total of £166 which will go, as always, towards providing our therapies.
We were very pleased to welcome Peter Wilson and his colleagues from the model railway club when they visited HOPE to give us a donation of £285. Such kind people. Thank you.
Just a reminder – the HOPE Centre is closed all day on Easter Monday.
The Longhouse (Freshwater Bay Holiday Village, Trewent Park, Freshwater East, SA71 5LW) is holding a COMEDY NIGHT on the 27th April in aid of HOPE. Free entry from 8.00pm, if you like stand up comedy why not go along.
Chairman of HOPE Ken Brombley receiving the official donation of £3,500 from the St. David’s Dinner facilitated by the Blue Mountain Security Group.
8.00pm at St John’s Church Tenby. Guest appearance by Mia Childs on the Cello.
We urgently need help with giving Oxygen Therapy treatment to our members. See poster for more details and please get in touch if you would like to become a chamber volunteer.
The lovely daffodils planted outside the HOPE Centre are a sign that Spring is almost here. Over the past few months we have welcomed several new Members to HOPE supporting them with our unique blend of treatment, therapy and friendship. To support our Members properly we have to fundraise each year. This year we are looking forward to our two concerts and are excited to announce a third event – Karen Wilson, the celebrated Welsh medium is holding an evening for HOPE in August at the Red Roses Community Centre. More details to come.
Did you know that the local Parkinsons Group meets every Wednesday at the HOPE Centre for coffee and doughnuts, support, keep fit, therapies and a chat? Today we also have a big bunch of flowers, courtesy of Danfo, thanking the Centre and its visitors for their patience over the last three months while a toilet block has been refurbished in the HOPE carpark.
